Cost of living and government services Centrepay deductions change on 1 November: the household payments Australians must move before the deadline
From 1 November 2026 Centrepay can no longer be used for certain categories including household goods lease and rental, clothing and appliances, non-remote-area food expenses, employment tools, funeral expenses, savings and car registration. Services Australia advises people with affected deductions to arrange an alternative directly with the business before the deadline.
